For my upcoming Bar Mitzvah, I have chosen to partner with the Jewish Family & Children Services of Northern New Jersey (JFCS) in their bike ride to fight hunger event. Helping people who are in need is a value my parents teach me all the time and feeding people is something very important to my family. Learning that there are many families who can’t afford food was very upsetting to me so earlier this year I started helping by working in the JFCS food pantry. I try to go a few times each month to stock the shelves of the food pantry to make sure families who can’t afford food have a place to go to feed their own families.
During the pandemic, bike riding quickly became one of my favorite activities to do - since it was one way my friends and I could get together. I love bike riding around my neighborhood and loved participating in the JFCS Bike Ride to Fight Hunger over the last couple of years. I am excited to be able to participate in this important event this year for my own Bar Mitzvah.
Please help me support Jewish Family & Children Services of Northern New Jersey (JFCS) by making a contribution to my Wheels for Meals - Ride to Fight Hunger fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will support JFCS programs for homebound seniors, disabled individuals, and disadvantaged families in northern New Jersey. I would also love for you and your family to join me at the bike ride on June 12. Please register today!
Ask me how you can get involved! Together, we can make a difference!
